Light of Your Iris is a DBA of Drone Light Events, LLC (“Light of Your Iris,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
We value the privacy of our customers and event participants. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and share information when you visit our website, book or participate in an iris photography session, attend an event where we provide an activation, purchase artwork or products, participate in Iris Club, or otherwise interact with us.
Light of Your Iris is an art photography business. We photograph the visible iris of the eye to create personalized artwork. We are not a biometric identification, authentication, security, medical, or diagnostic service.
Because some privacy laws may treat certain iris-related information as sensitive or biometric information, we handle iris photographs with additional care regardless of how a particular law classifies the photograph.
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect your name, email address, mobile number, mailing or delivery address, appointment information, artwork selections, order information, delivery preferences, and customer-service communications.
We may also collect or create original iris photographs, edited iris artwork, composite artwork, and event photographs or videos where applicable.
Payment information is generally processed by third-party payment providers. Light of Your Iris does not generally receive or store complete payment card numbers.
Our website and service providers may also automatically collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, cookies, and analytics data.
We may use information to schedule and confirm sessions, manage event participation and queues, communicate about orders and deliveries, capture and create iris artwork, prepare prints or other products, process payments, provide customer support, send fulfillment notifications, maintain appropriate business records, prevent fraud or misuse, operate our website, and provide services such as Iris Club.
Service-related communications are different from promotional communications.
Where consent is required, promotional communications are sent only after the customer has separately agreed to receive them.
We do not use iris photographs to make decisions concerning employment, credit, insurance, housing, health care, or other consequential decisions.
Our iris photography is performed solely for artistic and fulfillment purposes.
We photograph the visible iris and use the image to create personalized artwork. Image-editing software, including automated or AI-assisted image-processing tools, may be used for artistic functions such as enhancing detail, removing reflections, resizing files, preparing artwork, or improving image quality.
Light of Your Iris does not use iris photographs to identify or authenticate a person, log someone into an account or device, grant physical or digital access, perform iris or biometric matching, compare an iris against an identification database, enroll a participant in a biometric identification system, create an authentication credential or biometric identity profile, perform medical or health analysis, provide iridology analysis, or train biometric identification or recognition systems.
We do not convert iris photographs into biometric authentication templates or credentials used for identity verification.
Participation in iris photography is voluntary. Where applicable law requires notice or written or electronic consent regarding iris-related information, we will provide that notice and obtain the required consent before capture. Event-specific acknowledgments may also apply.
We retain iris photographs only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service for which they were collected.
For standard sessions, original iris photographs are normally retained for up to 90 days after completion and delivery of the artwork. This allows time to address corrections, quality issues, delivery problems, or reasonable follow-up requests.
Certain sponsored or corporate events may use a shorter retention period. The applicable period will be disclosed in the event consent. For example, an event may require deletion of original iris photographs within 30 days after artwork fulfillment and delivery.
Files may be retained longer when an order, revision, dispute, or support matter remains unresolved; when a customer has requested an ongoing service such as Iris Club; when the customer authorizes longer retention; or when retention is required by law.
Customers may request deletion of fulfilled-order iris files by contacting admin@lightofyouriris.com. Business, accounting, payment, or tax records that do not require the iris image may be retained separately.
Receiving an iris photography experience does not automatically require permission for Light of Your Iris to use a participant's iris artwork or likeness for advertising or promotional purposes.
When we wish to use identifiable iris artwork, customer photographs, or event video for marketing, social media, our website, advertising, promotional materials, or event recaps, we may request separate permission.
When a separate marketing or image-use choice is provided, declining that permission will not prevent a participant from receiving the iris photography service or artwork they otherwise qualify to receive.
We may use artwork that has been appropriately anonymized or where appropriate permission has been obtained.
Light of Your Iris may provide photography at corporate events, conferences, trade shows, weddings, community events, and other hosted experiences.
Unless specifically disclosed to the participant and separately authorized, an event sponsor or host does not receive, possess, store, or have access to participants' original iris photographs or Light of Your Iris's original image-storage systems.
Sponsors may provide branding that appears on finished artwork, and physical artwork may be provided to a sponsor or event representative for participant pickup.
If an event sponsor wishes to receive participant contact information or send marketing communications, the applicable disclosure and consent will be presented separately where appropriate. Participation in the iris photography experience is not automatically treated as consent to receive sponsor marketing.
We may use third-party providers to support website hosting and booking, forms, payments, cloud storage, backend hosting, professional image editing, automated or AI-assisted image enhancement, printing, email and messaging, digital-file delivery, shipping, and fulfillment.
These providers may process information only to the extent necessary to perform the applicable service or business function.
We do not sell iris photographs or personal information, and we do not provide iris photographs to service providers for their independent biometric identification, authentication, advertising, or profiling purposes.
Information may also be disclosed when requested by the customer, when necessary to complete an order, to protect legal rights or security, when required by valid legal process, or in connection with a legitimate transfer of the business subject to applicable law.
We may use contact information to send service-related communications such as appointment confirmations, event or queue notifications, pickup reminders, artwork-delivery messages, order questions, and customer-support communications.
We may separately offer customers the opportunity to receive promotional communications from Light of Your Iris.
Where consent is required, marketing email or text-message permission will be requested separately. Consent to receive marketing communications is not a condition of purchasing or receiving our services.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Marketing communications may be discontinued using the applicable unsubscribe or opt-out instructions.
Our website and website providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, understand visitor activity, maintain functionality, and improve the customer experience. Browser settings may allow you to restrict or delete cookies, although doing so may affect some website features.
We do not use an iris photograph as a website tracking identifier.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures appropriate to our business to protect personal information and image files. These may include password-protected accounts and devices, restricted access to customer files, reputable storage and delivery services, controlled digital delivery, and deletion practices.
No electronic storage, network, cloud service, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will respond according to applicable law and the circumstances of the incident.
Light of Your Iris may photograph a minor when a parent or legal guardian participates in the process and provides any required authorization.
We do not knowingly solicit online personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate parent or guardian involvement. Certain events may be limited to participants who are 18 or older, and any such restriction will be disclosed during registration.
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, customers may contact us to ask what personal information we maintain, correct inaccurate information, ask how an iris photograph is being used, request deletion of eligible iris files, withdraw optional marketing permission, or request that future promotional use of their artwork or likeness stop where applicable.
We may need to verify information before completing a privacy request.
Requests may be submitted to admin@lightofyouriris.com.
We may update this Privacy & Image Use Policy as our services, technology, business practices, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
