Meet Maryam
Light of Your Iris was founded by Maryam, whose journey blends science, care, and creativity in a way that makes this business truly special. Maryam is a licensed pharmacist with a strong academic and research background, including graduate work in Drug Discovery and Development and research experience in North Texas eye science and therapeutic studies.
Her professional background taught her precision, patience, and attention to detail — qualities that now define every iris portrait she creates.
But Maryam’s story is also deeply artistic.
She grew up in a family where both learning and creativity were equally valued. Her father, a university professor, instilled a love of knowledge, discipline, and thoughtful work. Her mother, with a love for art and beauty, inspired expression, color, and design. Light of Your Iris is where those two worlds meet: science and art, precision and emotion.
